This privacy notice describes how we might use your information if you download and/or use our application/website — Hobvia, or engage with us in other related ways including any sales, marketing, or events. Please read this privacy notice carefully, as it will help you understand what we do with the information that we collect.
Personal information you disclose to us: We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide to us when you register on the App, express an interest in obtaining information about us or our products and Services, or when you participate in activities on the App. The personal information we collect may include names, phone numbers, email addresses, usernames, passwords, and other similar information. Information automatically collected: We automatically collect certain information when you visit, use or navigate the App. This may include device and usage information such as your IP address, browser and device characteristics, operating system, language preferences, referring URLs, device name, country, and location. This includes: • Log and Usage Data — IP address, device information, browser type, activity in the App (date/time stamps, pages and files viewed, searches and other actions), device event information. • Device Data — information about your computer, phone, tablet or other device. • Location Data — information about your device's location, which can be either precise or imprecise. You can opt out by refusing access or disabling Location settings on your device. Information collected through our App: • Geolocation Information — location-based information to provide location-based services. • Mobile Device Access — access to calendar, camera, contacts, microphone, SMS messages, storage, and other features. • Mobile Device Data — device ID, model, manufacturer, operating system, and configuration information. • Push Notifications — we may request to send you push notifications regarding your account. You may turn these off in your device's settings.
Hobvia offers an optional Google Calendar integration. If you choose to connect your Google account, we request access to the following Google API scopes: • calendar.readonly — We read your existing Google Calendar events solely to display your schedule within the Hobvia app, helping you identify conflicts before booking a class or activity. • calendar.events — We create calendar events on your behalf when you book a class, so the session automatically appears in your Google Calendar. How we use your Google Calendar data: • We access your calendar events only to display your schedule inside the Hobvia app and to create Hobvia booking events at your request. • We do not store, share, sell, or use your Google Calendar event content for advertising, analytics, or any purpose beyond the features described above. • Calendar data is fetched in real time and is not retained on our servers beyond what is necessary to display it to you. • We do not allow humans at Hobvia to read your Google Calendar data. Your control: • Connecting Google Calendar is entirely optional. All Hobvia features work without it. • You may disconnect Google Calendar at any time from the Calendar tab in the app. Disconnecting immediately revokes our access to your calendar data. • You can also revoke access directly from your Google Account at myaccount.google.com/permissions. Hobvia's use of Google Calendar data is limited to the practices described in this section and complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
We use personal information collected via our App for a variety of business purposes, including: • To facilitate account creation and logon process. • To post testimonials (with your consent). • To request feedback and contact you about your use of our App. • To enable user-to-user communications. • To manage user accounts. • To send administrative information to you. • To protect our Services (fraud monitoring and prevention). • To enforce our terms, conditions and policies. • To respond to legal requests and prevent harm. • To fulfill and manage your orders, payments, returns, and exchanges. • To deliver and facilitate delivery of services to the user. • To respond to user inquiries and offer support. • To send you marketing and promotional communications (where in accordance with your preferences). • To deliver targeted advertising tailored to your interests and/or location.
We only share information with your consent, to comply with laws, to provide you with services, to protect your rights, or to fulfill business obligations. We may process or share your data based on the following legal basis: • Consent — with your specific consent for a specific purpose. • Legitimate Interests — when reasonably necessary to achieve our legitimate business interests. • Performance of a Contract — to fulfill the terms of our contract with you. • Legal Obligations — where we are legally required to disclose your information. • Vital Interests — where necessary to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding potential violations of our policies, suspected fraud, or threats to safety. More specifically: • Business Transfers — we may share your information in connection with any merger, sale of company assets, financing, or acquisition. • Other Users — when you share personal information or interact with public areas of the App, such information may be viewed by all users. • Offer Wall — our App may display a third-party hosted "offer wall" with advertiser offers.
Our servers are located in the United States. If you are accessing our App from outside the United States, please be aware that your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States and other countries. If you are a resident in the European Economic Area (EEA) or United Kingdom (UK), we will take all necessary measures to protect your personal information in accordance with this privacy notice and applicable law. We have implemented the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses for transfers of personal information, which require all recipients to protect personal information originating from the EEA or UK in accordance with European data protection laws. Our Standard Contractual Clauses can be provided upon request.
We will only keep your personal information for as long as it is necessary for the purposes set out in this privacy notice, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law (such as tax, accounting or other legal requirements). No purpose in this notice will require us keeping your personal information for longer than the period of time in which users have an account with us. When we have no ongoing legitimate business need to process your personal information, we will either delete or anonymize such information, or securely store it and isolate it from any further processing until deletion is possible.
We have implemented appropriate technical and organizational security measures designed to protect the security of any personal information we process. However, despite our safeguards and efforts to secure your information, no electronic transmission over the Internet or information storage technology can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. Although we will do our best to protect your personal information, transmission of personal information to and from our App is at your own risk. You should only access the App within a secure environment.
In some regions (like the EEA and UK), you have certain rights under applicable data protection laws. These may include the right to: (i) request access and obtain a copy of your personal information (ii) request rectification or erasure (iii) restrict the processing of your personal information (iv) data portability (where applicable) If we are relying on your consent to process your personal information, you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. If you are a resident in the EEA or UK and believe we are unlawfully processing your personal information, you have the right to complain to your local data protection supervisory authority. Account Information: You may review or change the information in your account or terminate your account at any time by logging in to your account settings. Upon your request to terminate your account, we will deactivate or delete your account and information from our active databases. Opting out of email marketing: You can unsubscribe from our marketing email list at any time by clicking on the unsubscribe link in the emails that we send, or by contacting us. Most web browsers and some mobile operating systems include a Do-Not-Track ("DNT") feature or setting you can activate to signal your privacy preference not to have data about your online browsing activities monitored and collected. At this stage no uniform technology standard for recognizing and implementing DNT signals has been finalized. As such, we do not currently respond to DNT browser signals or any other mechanism that automatically communicates your choice not to be tracked online.
CCPA Privacy Notice: California residents have specific rights regarding their personal information under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). Hobvia, Inc has not disclosed or sold any personal information to third parties for a business or commercial purpose in the preceding 12 months. Hobvia, Inc will not sell personal information in the future belonging to website visitors, users and other consumers. Your rights with respect to your personal data: • Right to request deletion — you can ask for the deletion of your personal information, subject to certain exceptions provided by law. • Right to be informed — you have a right to know whether we collect and use your personal information, the categories collected, the purposes for which it is used, and whether we sell it. • Right to Non-Discrimination — we will not discriminate against you if you exercise your privacy rights. • Right to opt-out — you may request to opt-out from future selling of your personal information to third parties. Yes, we will update this notice as necessary to stay compliant with relevant laws. We may update this privacy notice from time to time. The updated version will be indicated by an updated "Revised" date and will be effective as soon as it is accessible.
